Theory of Knowledge, a lesson teach us on to be a critical student, is the core subject of IB syllabus. Ironically, you don’t criticize in KMB if you want to survive.
However, that’s not the real point here. Below is my first paragraph of T.O.K essay, have been submitted to teacher just before school break for Hari Raya. Any idea on how to approach this topic? Or do you have any suggestion or thought to speak out?
(sorry, I don’t really sure the style of T.O.K essay, so my first paragraph consists of many paragraphs. Haha, I’m crazy)

Topic : “Moral wisdom seems to be as little connected to knowledge of ethical theory as playing good tennis is to knowledge of physics (Emrys Westacott). To what extent should our actions be guided by our theories in ethics and elsewhere?
“One starfish…Two starfish…Three Starfish…”
A man is so curious with the five years old boy. The boy, with joyful face, keeps putting back the starfishes into the sea; one starfish, two starfish, three starfish – while there are thousands of starfishes on the beach. So, the man approaches the boy and asks,
“Why you are so passionate to help put the starfishes into the sea back? You know you won’t make it.”
“Sir, yes, I won’t make it, but world is changing because of little good deeds.”
World is changing because of little good deeds.

Someday we are bound to come back to the beginning. Even the most distant pathways always lead us inward, completely inward, into intimacy, solitude between our self and our inner self – in the place where there is no longer anyone but our self and our inner self.
Paulo Coelho, in his novel The Alchemist, has brought in one of the most traditional and deep teachings of Sufism. Go, travel the world, watch, look for the truth and the secret of life – every road will lead you to this sense of initiation: the light, the secret, are hidden in the place from which you set out. You are on your way not toward the end of the road but toward its beginning; to go is to return; to find is to rediscover.
Human being, just like the five years old boy, already has a natural awareness and ability to help mankind and nature as our conscience always guides us to search back for ourself – our inner self. To find ourself is to know what is good and what is bad; and the code of values which guide our choices and actions and determine the purpose and course of our lives is what we called as ethics.[1]
